Bloat in ruminants is the distention of the rumen-reticulum, or paunch, with gas. This gas has been formed during rapid fermentation of the feed in the rumen. The distention is usually seen on the left side as a tight ballooning of the underlying rumen from the ribs to the hip. The usual mechanism of “belching” and letting gas out through the animal’s mouth has failed and so the gas accumulates. Distention can occur from pasture bloat and feedlot bloat. Olsson’s Bloat-Liq is a molasses-based, anti foaming block (10% Alcohol Ethoxylate Teric 12A 23) designed to relieve the symptoms of this annual killer. Bloat-Liq is rain resistant, easy to use, works 24 hours a day and is one of the best value bloat products on the market.

Olsson’s Trace Element Plus 3% Urea is a macro-mineral supplement block formulated with copper, iron, zinc, manganese, cobalt, iodine, and selenium. It provides a source of these minerals in block form, combined with 3% urea, to complement grazing and feeding systems where pastures and soils may not provide sufficient mineral levels.

This block is suitable for use as part of standard supplementation practices across a wide range of grazing conditions.

Olsson’s Peak 50 Plus 7% Urea is a supplement block containing urea, bypass protein, and minerals. It is formulated for use with livestock grazing dry pastures, during periods of high nutritional demand such as lactation, or in feeding systems where additional protein is required.

The inclusion of bypass protein provides a source of protein and energy in block form, supporting livestock in a range of seasonal feeding conditions. Peak 50 Plus is suitable for use where pasture protein levels have declined, including pre-lambing or calving periods.

Olsson’s Lush Green Feed Block is designed for sheep and cattle grazing green pasture or fodder crops. It provides optimum conversion on high quality feeds. Green pastures are often described as “gutless” due to low levels of required minerals that may have been leached from the soil. Lush replaces many of these minerals, assisting the grazier to optimise the growth potential of the available feed.

Olsson’s 16% High Sulphur is a supplement block formulated with sulphur and minerals for livestock on dry and fibrous feeds. It is particularly suited for feeding programs where urea is included, providing a source of sulphur to complement pasture and ration quality.

Olsson’s Calcium Molasses is a nutritional supplement formulated for cattle, sheep, goats, and deer on grain-based diets. This block provides a source of calcium and protein and is intended for use in feeding programs where grain diets may be low in protein, minerals, and vitamins. Grain feeding is often associated with a lower calcium-to-phosphorus ratio; providing a calcium source can be part of nutritional management strategies for such diets. This product is intended as a nutritional supplement only and is not designed to diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition.
